The Pride of LaSalle ended its most successful season to date on November 7th at Mid-states Band Association Championships hosted by Kings High School. The band had an excellent preliminary performance and placed in the top 10 out of 24 bands. This allowed them to perform a second time later in Championship FINALS performance.
After an emotional and inspiring performance the band placed 9th overall with a score of 65.5 – their highest score to date. The band went into finals placing 8th, and in tight competition for 6th-10th.
Several judges have commended the improvement the band has made since last year.
Summary of awards given to the 2009 Pride of LaSalle Band:
“Best Band” – Harvest Home Parade
1st Place in class AA – Bishop Fenwick Competition
Best Music class AA – Bishop Fenwick Competition
Best General Effect class AA – Bishop Fenwick Competition
5th Place out of 17 bands at Bishop Fenwick Competition
10th place out of 18 bands at the Colerain Invitational
Performed in finals at Colerain invitational – First Finals appearance in 5+ years!
3rd in class at Bands of America Massillon Regional – a National-level competition
Top 10 at MSBA Championships – 24 total bands
9th place overall in MSBA Championship Finals

Decree on Child Protection Any adult working/volunteering with The Pride of LaSalle Band this coming school year will be required to have attended a Child Protection orientation session AND you will need to be fingerprinted.
